The Keele Moot Court Project
Keele Law School is delighted to announce this exciting project to develop and then create a high-quality multi-use learning environment designed around a moot court to enhance its students’ development of a wide range of broadly applicable skills and to provide a site for further interactions between its students and the legal profession, in particular our alumni.

Following successful fundraising work, we have already a received a number of generous pledges and contributions from our alumni and the Keele Key Fund. However, we do still require further support from our alumni in order to realise the overall target of £85,000.
Not only is this Project timely in terms of the School’s ambitions and the new University funding regime, but until July 31st 2011, all gifts to Higher Education institutions inEngland will be matched by the UK Government. Keele is in the second tier which means we attract a 50% ratio: For example, every £1 donated by aUK higher rate taxpayer will provide Keele with a donation of £1.92 (including Gift Aid). This, in fact, means that we may be able to secure the remaining balance relatively quickly and move onto other targets including perhaps the establishment of bursaries to support students’ informal work experience.
If you did feel that you could contribute, then we would be delighted to receive a donation either by cheque, direct debit or credit card plus confirmation that you are a UK taxpayer (for Gift Aid purposes). Robin Cross would be happy to advise on any aspect of the donation process r.i.cross@kfm.keele.ac.uk
Please return regularly to the Law School website for further news or email the Head of School, Andrew Francis if you would like to join the Keele Law Alumni Group.
