Sarah Kwong
My name is Sarah Kwong and I studied Law with Economics at Keele from 2008-2011. I came to Keele following a recommendation from a Keele Law graduate and she told me how much she has enjoyed her time at Keele and the prospects the university has brought her. Time flies, 3 years of undergraduate life at Keele have passed and it has been a fruitful and memorable experience for me.
Law is an exciting subject which demands hard work. The innovative teaching method at Keele makes difficult material easier to digest. Lectures and seminars are informative while Professors and Lecturers are always there to help. We are also encouraged to look beyond case-law and statutes to reflect critically on how decisions of courts impact on society today. With various choices of elective modules, it gives me an opportunity to learn how law interacts with different sectors of society and keep me aware of the latest issues happening in the world.
Coming to Keele has broadened my horizons and widened my options when planning my future. Keele offered me a range of opportunities alongside my degree. I took part in the Client Interviewing Competition in my second year which allowed me to experience the practical work of a solicitor and I worked as a Research Assistant during my third year through which I enriched my analytical skills. I am now deciding between offers of Master of Laws and Vacation Scheme placements before doing PCLL (equivalent to the LPC in the United Kingdom) in Hong Kong. I consider Keele as my stepping stone to help achieve my goals and it is a place where I was able to find my direction and catch my dreams.
Sarah is from Hong Kong originally and graduated in 2011 with a 2(i) degree in Law with Economics. We look forward to following her future career with interest.
