The Socio-Political Challenges of Medium Sized Cities

This ESRC seminar explored the question of whether there are specific social and political challenges confronting post-industrial medium-sized cities. In particular, the seminar explored issues related to the challenges of worklessness, health inequalities and weak capacity of local political institutions to respond to these and other challenges.
