Overview

This course provides science subject leaders with the most current news and ideas on the teaching and learning of science in primary schools. Updates on the new curriculum, assessment, practical activities and Ofsted will be included in the day. If you need information to provide a staff meeting with the latest in Primary Science (which still remains a core subject) then this course is a must for you.

Teachers will leave with a CDROM of resources to update their science subject leader role

Learning Outcomes

Participants will be able to:

  • Understand the key changes to the Science curriculum across each Key Stage
  • Identify and plan changes to the science curriculum for 2014 and beyond
  • Inform staff on areas such as Ofsted, how to ‘work scientifically’, assessment, early years, resources and ideas for primary science
