I joined Keele Management School in 2011 as a Teaching Fellow. Before this I was a part time lecturer at the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) Ireland. I started lecturing in 2006 and have taught in the areas of Marketing, Marketing Analysis, Marketing and Management, Marketing Research and Strategic Marketing. My experience includes teaching to undergraduate students and giving seminars to postgraduate students.
As a servicescape consultant I have worked with many companies in the retail sector. Recently I worked with a large grocery retailer in Ireland conducting store research and providing a report on the stores atmosphere, customer satisfaction and ways in which to improve the stores atmosphere. Whilst working with a marketing research company I analysed and suggested ways to improve the atmosphere in the individual stores that I visited.
My PhD focuses on the area of Service Marketing with an emphasis on customer behaviour and employee behaviour. Through researching I have gained extensive knowledge of both the Services Marketing literature and Consumer Behaviour literature. My advanced knowledge of these literatures has led me to present my work at several conferences and seminars. Most recently I was awarded best paper in my track for my paper entitled "Incorporating the Servicescape and the Service Profit Chain in a Retail Grocery context" at the Irish Academy of Management (2011) Conference.
