I joined Keele University in September 2006 and am currently teaching Management Accounting and Financial Management. My PhD was awarded in August 2005 by Manchester Metropolitan University. I was subsequently appointed as ESRC Research Fellow at MMU and worked on an ESRC project entitled ‘The Evolution of Business Knowledge in SME’s’. I have taught Management Accounting and Financial Accounting for twelve years in Further and Higher Education including teaching on CIMA and AAT professional programmes. I have an MSc in Accounting and Finance from UMIST/Manchester University and is a CIMA passed finalist. I also have a degree in Philosophy from Manchester University and a degree in Music from Liverpool University.
My current research interests include the roles of accounting in the Public Sector and the nature and processes of knowledge development in organisations and society.
