Keele Management School

I was International Officer from 1989 to 2001 in Britain’s largest public sector union, UNISON, and then changed careers to become a senior lecturer at Oxford Brookes University from 2001-3. I have an M.Phil in Social Work (my first career), and an MA in European Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management. My main research interests lie in the field of European and world level trade union organisation, and this is reflected in the subject of my PhD. I have worked on a number of EU-funded projects, and am now involved in a multinational research project on trade unions and race.
