Dr Matthew Brannan Invited to Lecture at Princeton, USA
Dr Matthew Brannan
Dr Matthew Brannan was invited to give a lecture to undergraduate sociology students at Princeton University, New Jersey, USA. His lecture ‘Ethnography at Work’ focused on the use of ethnographic research techniques in understanding the contemporary experience of work, in particular the growth of service work, and its role and importance in sociological theory. Whilst at Princeton, Matthew met with students preparing their junior papers, members of the faculty and took a study trip to Atlantic City.
Princeton is the global leader in teaching and research and Matthew’s trip is part of an ongoing link between Keele and Princeton where our former colleague Professor Paul Willis is now lecturing.
