2010 Economics and Finance prize winners

The annual Economics and Finance prize giving took place on Wednesday 8th December 2010. Prizes are awarded for the highest achieving students in each year of study for Business Economics, Economics, Finance and Mangement Science. All the winners were invited to receive their book tokens from Professor Matthias Klaes, Head of School, and to attend a buffet lunch in the Management School Training Suite with academic and administrative members of the School. 

This year's winners, pictures here at the prize giving lunch were:

Christopher Hussain (Economics), Claire Taylor (Finance), Faye Pitcher (Business Economics), Nilema Ali (Economics), Man Sum Siu (Finance), Rongrong Yu (Finance), Joshua Davenport (Management Science), Daniel Jacob (Business Economics), and Rachael Hardstaff (Economics). Claudia Umland (Management Science) and Ka Wing Chan (Finance) were also awarded prizes but were unable to attend the lunch.

At the same event Samuel Bamfo, BSc Economics and Mathematics, (pictured centre, front row) was awarded the Fishman Bursary. This is awarded to a first year student, from the local area, with the highest overall grade in Economics, in memory of Professor Les Fishman, Economics Professor at Keele between 1969 and 1988.
