KIITE

As Director of KIITE, Catherine is responsible for supporting the institutional development of teaching and learning via four portfolios: curriculum design, learning experience design, learning innovation technology and academic development.

Catherine works closely with the PVC Education, Academic Registry, Deans and Directors of Education, Heads of Schools and our colleagues in professional services ensure the institute delivers on educational priorities. Catherine has an MBA (Open University) and is a Senior Fellow of the HEA.

She has fifteen years’ experience in HE, with eight years at the Open University including the launch of FutureLearn. She has previously worked for BBC radio and continues to teach as module leader on MDS30021 Podcast and Radio Production, having previously taught at BCU on their inaugural Media Production degree. Her production work has won awards including Learning on Screen (for the Open University) and the Radio Academy (BBC Radio 5 Live).
