KS3 (G&T) and KS4 Conferences

Unlike other events, conferences run from 9.30am to 3pm, allowing more time on campus to really get the most out of the day. For Gifted and Talented KS3 learners or all KS4 learners, conferences take a look at contemporary topics and stretch the curriculum to its limits.

The conferences aim to look at anniversary years as well as delving into topical issues or events. With this in mind, we are pleased to announce this year’s conferences are as follows:

The Holocaust Memorial Day Conference

Joan Slater Friday 25th January 2013

Our oldest, most established, and often most popular conference, the Holocaust Memorial Day Conference will see a mix of Human Rights Workshops, History and Psychology sessions, and a Survivors’ story. Touching, yet inspirational and enlightening.

The Stoke 150 Conference

Thursday 7th February 2013

Founded in 1863, Stoke City FC is the oldest club in the Premier League! We aim to celebrate 150 years of our local team by delving into the history of football and the local area, allow learners to find out about inspirational players past and present and test their skills- could they be the next Sir Stanley Matthews?

The Space Conference

‌Wednesday 20th March 2013

Is there more to discover in Space? With NASA and China launching a number of missions to space in 2013 we look the latest “Inventions and Discoveries” in space as part of National Science and Engineering week. Learners can check out the galaxy in our Stardome or why not discover the Keele Earth and Space Observatory?

The Shakespeare Conference
