KS2 - Learner Journey Days

A light and interactive introduction to university, giving learners a chance to meet Keele academics and students. Specifically aimed at KS2, many of our school partners have used the day as an experience to assist with transition from primary to secondary education.

The Learner Journey Days typically consist of a trip inside our inflatable Stardome, a chance to build a university out of LEGO, a short sample lecture and acampus quest. The day will assist parts of the KS2 curriculum, looking at Earth and Space, and really develop a strong teamwork ethic for learners, as they work together throughout the day. The sample lecture provides learners with an opportunity to discover how university teaching actually works, without being overwhelming. The Campus Quest gives attendees a chance to investigate our beautiful campus, a session that gets them really thinking and motivated about their transition into KS3 learning.
