Access to the Professions (A2P)

The project is supported by staff and academics in Keele's very own School of Medicine and School of Law. This year we are pleased to be working alongside the University Hospital of North Staffordshire's Careers and Skills Academy as well as staff and lawyers at Knights plc who will provide events, visit days and professional mentoring to A2P learners.

The scheme will provide a wide range of support and activities including:

  • Contact with students currently undertaking courses in the above areas through e-mentoring
  • Direct access to people who work in the professions through e-mentoring
  • Opportunities to visit the University for events/activities relating to the chosen profession
  • Opportunities for work shadowing and career related visits
  • Higher Education information, including specialist information on making successful university applications and interview support

How do I Get Involved?

This is an exclusive programme restricted to gifted and talented pupils from Widening Participation backgrounds that have the ability to achieve A and A* grades (or equivalent). As this is exclusive, those that wish to participate will need to complete an application form to be considered.

We are no longer taking applications for 2012/13, but if you know students who would like to register their interest for next year, please encourage them to complete the Form below and we will contact them when the 2013/14 Application Form becomes live.
