What is A2K?
Access to Keele (A2K) is a programme aimed at helping Year 12 learners make informed decisions about their educational future and support their transition to Higher Education and will also benefit them with their UCAS personal statement.
Access to Keele gives learners numerous opportunities to learn about and experience Higher Education with the core events taking place over four days throughout the academic year. In addition learners are matched with a fully trained Keele Student mentor via our brand new secure Ementoring website. This site also provides a range of fun, interactive activities, articles and resources to support their studies.
What is the structure of A2K?
As part of A2K learners attend four events throughout the academic year in order to help them develop a portfolio of work that they can use to support their UCAS Personal statement. The programme of events for the 2012-2013 academic year is as follows:

How do I get Involved?
To register for the scheme students will have to meet HEFCE's WP requirements. There are a number of different criteria that we look at to see if students meet these requirements; for example, living in a low participation area, parents occupations being in the NS-SEC 4-8 remit or having a disability.
We are no longer taking applications for 2012/13, but if you know students who would like to register their interest for next year, please encourage them to complete the Form below and we will contact them when the 2013/14 Application Form becomes live.

If you have any Year 12 students who you think would be interested in applying for the scheme or you have any queries contact us today to arrange a member of the team to come into your school or college to talk to students about the benefits of the scheme.
