Olympics Conference 18th May
Gold Medallist sprinter, Leon Baptiste, recently visited Keele to take part in our Olympics Conference on 18th May. During the conference Leon ran fitness sessions with around 200 learners from 10 different schools to inspire the next generation of children to become actively involved in sport and to encourage them to join local sports clubs and to have fun whilst exercising.
The day ended with an inspirational talk from Leon and the chance to see his winning performance in the 200m race at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi 2010. The students also got the chance to see the medals up close.
