Keele Study Abroad Events

Here is a quick overview of the type of activites that happen throughout the year within Keele Study Abroad:

January

  • New Students arrive for second Semester

  • Mentor Meet Up.

  • A Welcome Back to Keele, Drinks Reception and "Through the Lens" Photo Award.

  • Portfolio submission day for returning students.

  • Semester 2 - The Intercultural Communication (for study abroad) module begins.

Mid February

  • Kyoto Students arrive for their English Language & Culture Programme.

  • The International Song and Dance showcase takes place.
  • The Keele International World Festinal takes place.

March

  • A variety of trips are offered throughout the semester to places such as Paris.

  • An Easter party will be held.

  • Ball State students arrive for Short Term programme in Criminology.

April

  • Easter Vacation. Most students use this time to travel.

  • A chance to visit a designer shopping outlet in nearby Cheshire.

May

  • Summer BBQ at the Students Union.

  • Pre-departure Briefings for students going on a study abroad in the first semester.

June

  • A trip to Blackpool is available.

July

  • Portfolio submission day for returning students.

August

  • A variety of trips will be offered throughout this month.

September

  • New Students arrive and Orientation takes place

  • Welcome to Britain Party
  • International quiz night
  • Welcome Ball
  • Icebreaker disco
  • Comedy night
  • Karaoke
  • Games evening
  • Fancy dress party
  • Keele has Talent 
  • the Freshers BIG party
  • Athletics Union Sports Fair

  • Mentor Meet Up

  • Freshers Fayre

October

  • A variety of trips are offered throughout the semester to places such as York.

  • Study Abroad Fair for Keele students who are interested in studying abroad

November

  • Study Abroad Information Sessions

  • Individual Student Interviews for Students who wish to study abroad.

  • A bonfire and fireworks night trip is available.

December

  • Pre-departure Briefings for Students who are studying abroad in Semester 2.

  • Various christmas themed events and trips will be taking place on and off of campus.
  • FREE Christmas Dinner buffet.
