Get Involved with the Keele University Sustainability Hub
You can get involved with the Hub in several different ways.
Perhaps you are already involved in activities that would fit under the sustainability umbrella such as gardening, walking, bird watching or some crafts and you would be willing to share your interest and knowledge with others.
Maybe you would like to learn more about the clean technologies that we have on display and you could act as a guide and give tours of the Hub when we have groups visit.
We would also be very pleased to hear your suggestions about the kinds of displays and activities you would like to see at the Hub so come and talk to us and let us know.
Events:
Keele Sustainability Hub will be host to a variety of activities and events throughout the year which encourage staff, businesses and members of the public to learn about sustainability, and our environment. We also appreciate help with some of the activities we will be running during the year so if you are interested then please get in touch.
Grey Matters
Project ‘Grey Matters’@ Keele is an outreach initiative which started in September 2011 and is aimed primarily towards the ‘ageing’ (50+) local community. The project provides a meeting facility and access to education programmes for the ‘older’ community, where they can engage in various educational activities and be actively involved in the Keele Campus Community.
The older generation have a lot to offer in terms of experience in sustainability and a key feature of the project is intergenerational exchange of experience and knowledge. If you’re interested in becoming a member, please email us or call 01782 733 555
Spooktacula
On 31st October 2012, The Hub will be running a series of interactive workshops which will help children and adults discover a world of spooky science, as well as offer advice on how to throw your own greener and more sustainable Halloween. Visitors will learn about the history of Halloween; shown how to make their own molecule and potions; and have the opportunity to interact with snakes and lizards. Get in touch for more information on how to book.
