WiFi - keep up to date with progress
Last updated: 28th August 2013
What is happening?
WiFi is due to be installed across campus in all Academic / Administrative Buildings and the Halls of Residence.
Work will be carried out by contractors Stoneleigh and Phoenix. All workers onsite will carry identification in the form of a Keele Card.
Will there be any disruption?
Naturally there will be some disruption as cabling and access points are installed and then tested by contractors before going live.
A nominated representative for each building has provided information as to when work cannot be carried out eg. due to examinations taking place. This representative has also been asked to keep colleagues up to date regarding progress of the project.
Any WiFi currently in operation will continue to work until the new system is operational.
When is it happening?
These dates are provisional but will be updated regularly. Start dates will be added when known.
Buildings that have had cabling installed will be made live once the core systems are ready, expected to be week commencing 29th July.
