- Mike Mahon
Dr Mahon's background is in quantitative morphometry, microscopy and histochemistry, and work on muscle pathology. He moved to Keele in 2002 as Director of Anatomy in the newly established undergraduate Medical School.
Dr Mahon has set up two laboratory areas within the Electron Microscope Facility to cover tissue storage, cryostat work, histochemistry, immunocytochemistry and various forms of microscopy (brightfield, darkfield, phase contrast, polarising, ineterference) and morphometry, stereology and image analysis facilities.
ISTM Research theme: 1. Bioengineering & Therapeutics
Research Interests:
• Skeletal muscle pathology and variability
• Computer aided learning development.
