Dr Brendan Davies qualified at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, London. He developed an interest in headache disorders as a Senior Registrar at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. He trained as an Honorary Consultant Neurologist at The Headache Group at the National Hospital for Neurological Diseases.

Since 2000 Dr Davies has been a Consultant Neurologist at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire where he coordinates the acute inpatient headache pathway. He is also Clinical Director of the North Midlands Regional Headache Clinic, and organises a course for the British Society for the Study of Headache. His specific interests include acute secondary headache disorders, chronic daily headache disorders, and headache education.
