ISTM Senior Management Committee

This committee meets 5 times every year to implement, review and develop the Faculty of Health's and Research Institute’s strategy at its three sites and in partnership with NHS organisations. It provides reports to the Dean of the Faculty of Health. It receives reports from:

  • Faculty of Health Research Strategy Committee
  • ISTM Postgraduate Committee
  • ISTM Health & Safety Committee
  • University Hospital of North Staffordshire R&D Committee
  • RJAH Oswestry Research Committee 

It has staff representation from academic and clinical researchers in the relevant ISTM research themes, and the Heads of Schools in which ISTM members' teaching responsibilities are based.

The chair is Prof Gordon Ferns, Director of ISTM and also in his capacity as Director of UHNS R&D.

Membership also includes the Deputy Director of ISTM, Prof Paul Eggleston, ISTM Postgraduate Director Prof Trevor Greenhough, ISTM Manager Mark Smith and ISTM Admin Services Manager Jeanette Forrester.
