ENCOUNTER
Trips and events organised through International Student Support are known as ENCOUNTER. ENCOUNTER is a programme that provides trips and events each month for international, EU and UK students. The aim of the programme is to introduce you to what the UK has to offer and include elements of UK culture.
If you choose to participate in ENCOUNTER you will have the opportunity to visit UK cities and attractions, attend on-campus events and socialise with other students. When planning the schedule, we vary the places we visit each year to provide variety to those of you who will be with us at Keele for more than 12 months. Some of the events are free while others have a fee to cover costs.
The programme for 2012/13 is as follows:
| Date | Event |
|---|---|
| 6 October 2012 | Day Trip to the city of York |
| 5 November 2012 | Evening Trip to a traditional Fireworks Event |
| 1 December 2012 | Day Trip to Chill Factor-e indoor snow centre |
| 24 December 2012 | Christmas Dinner |
| 22 February 2013 | International Song & Dance Showcase |
| 7, 8, 9 & 10 March 2013 | 4-day Trip to Paris (France) |
| 27 March 2013 | Easter Party for students and their families |
| 13 April 2013 | Day Trip to Cheshire Oaks retail outlet |
| 1 June 2013 | Day Trip to Blackpool seaside resort |
Tickets for all trips and events will be available to buy from Walter Moberly Reception desk two weeks prior to the event taking place (except for the Paris trip which will be four weeks prior). If you would like to be the first to hear about these trips and events and be able to purchase tickets in advance of general release, sign up to the ENCOUNTER mailing list by emailing us at internationalsupport@keele.ac.uk
