Meet & Greet Airport Collection

Meet and Greet Airport Collection Service

International Student Support operates a FREE Meet and Greet Airport Collection service for all new students who are arriving in the UK for the first time.

This service is available from Manchester Airport and Heathrow Airport (London) ONLY http://www.manchesterairport.co.uk/manweb.nsfand http://www.heathrowairport.com/ on Wednesday 19th September 2012.

We employ a team of friendly International Orientation Assistants, who are all current Keele University students, and some of these assistants run this service. For this day only, the Assistants will be wearing high-visibility yellow and black t-shirts. Look out for them in the designated areas within the two airports. They will welcome you to the UK, help you to get to our transport, and will then travel with you on the coach to the campus. This will give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have and get to know the people around you.

When you arrive at the campus the Assistants will show you to the Accommodation Key Collection Area where you will be able to get the key to your room.

Please note: If you are going to be living off campus, the Assistants can direct you to public transport as we cannot drop you off at your private accommodation.

How to Book:

To use this service you must complete a registration form. The form can be found at the bottom of this page. Your completed form must then be emailed to International Student Support at internationalsupport@keele.ac.uk. Once your form has been checked we will email you to confirm your registration for the airport collection, give your allotted service departure time and also give details about where you can find our Meet & Greet team in the relevant airport.

Request forms will be available online and accepted from Wednesday 1^st August 2012. Registrations will close on Wednesday 12th September 2012. Any forms sent to International Student Support after the 12th September 2012 will not be accepted and any request for collection will not be actioned.

We recommend that you book a flight to the UK that is scheduled to arrive between 6am and 3pm on Wednesday 19 September. This is because the Meet & Greet Airport Collection Service will operate between 9am and 5pm only. You will need sufficient time to clear immigration and collect your luggage before crossing the airport to join the Meet & Greet team.

If you are unable to fly to either Manchester or Heathrow airports, then you can still use the Meet & Greet Airport Collection Service providing that you arrange to travel to either airport by public transport. You can still submit a request form but must inform us as to which airport you will be requesting collection from.
