Paid Experience leads to Postgraduate Place and Permanent Job

A Keele graduate will continue to gain valuable paid experience whilst studying for a Master’s degree thanks to the University’s Graduate Internships scheme.

Anna Hawkins would have been unable to continue her studies without the paid employment that she gained with Inspired Video and Film through the scheme and a grant from Keele University to fund her postgraduate study.

The 21-year-old marketing assistant will continue to work for the film and video specialists part-time in the same role whilst she studies for an MA in Management at the University.

The Business Management and Marketing graduate promotes Inspired’s services as well as handling the business’s biggest client and major Staffordshire employer, the University Hospital of North Staffordshire NHS Trust which employs over 7,000 staff.

Anna, who graduated this year, is also working on Inspired’s hyperlocal website Stoked which will be promoting opportunities for 14 to 22 year olds in Stoke-on-Trent.

Inspired, based at the Keele University Science and Business Park, received £3,000 in Santander and Keele University joint funding to employ the graduate on a three-month internship.

Santander, in partnership with Keele University, is currently offering small and medium sized businesses £1,500 to employ a Keele graduate on a three-month internship.
