For Graduates

At Keele University know that work experience is vital to stand out in today's competitive job market and we are here to help you by offering career enhancing internships.

What are the benefits of carrying out an internship?

Carrying out an internship will provide you with crucial work experience as well as allow you to apply the knowledge learnt as part of your degree in a  real work situations.  It will enable you to develop identified work related skills, help you to learn the disciplines, routines and relationships within a workplace, give you an understanding of business and customer needs and enhance your career knowledge.

How much will I get paid?

Employers will pay a minimum of £259 per 37.5 hour week or £6.90 per hour.  Some employers may pay more than this.

Who is eligible to apply?

Any unemployed graduate who resides in the West Midlands.  The internship scheme has been designed to give recent graduates an opportunity to enter their chosen career and to get some valuable paid work experience.

What type of internships are available?

Employers can advertise any internship with us which may include Marketing, Business Development, Environmental Management, IT or Science.

Internships last between 2 days and 12 months.

How do I get involved?

Please check out the available internships, and if there is one that you would like to be considered for then complete our Graduate Application Form and email it along with your CV to internships@keele.ac.uk .  If you don't see anything suitable but still wish to take part, then complete the forms anyway and tell us what type of internship you would be interested in: Marketing, Business Development, Environmental Mangement, IT or Science.  We will then contact you to discuss suitable opportunities or consider putting you forward for interview - please note that unfortunately we are unable to guarantee every graduate an internship.  if you need some advice on your CV we recommend you contact Careers and Employability at Keele. 

By submitting your CV to Keele University, you are giving us permission to send it to companies who have come to us with internship opportunities.  We will always contact you with information about the company and internship.  We regularly receive new internships so please keep checking our available internships!
