For Employers
Recruiting the right people for any business is vital for its success and Keele University can help you to do just that. We have access to hundreds of graduates who can bring fresh ideas to benefit your business.
What type of internship can employers offer?
What companies have said after taking part in our previous internship schemes
How does it work?
As well as advertise your requirements, Keele can help you to write a job description to maximise interest, provide you with salary guidance, offer advice on how to get the best out of an applicant during an interview and guide you on how to support your graduate whilst they are with you.
How much does it cost?
Absolutely nothing. Keele has received funding from ERDF which allows us to coordinate the recruitment of West Midlands graduates into West Midlands based internships.
Please note that the minimum amount you can pay the graduate, as an employee, is £259 per 37.5 hour week for 5 days work or £6.90 per hour.
Which employers are eligible?
All small to medium sized companies who are based in the West Midlands are covered by our part funded ERDF scheme.
If your company is larger in size and still based within the West Midlands, we are still able to help so please get in touch.
What type of internship can employers offer?
Any graduate level internship, in any area of your business such as Marketing, Business Development, Environmental Management, IT or Science. We can find you graduates with skills in these areas as well as a genuine desire to gain experience within the workplace.
Internships must last between 2 days and 12 months.

What companies have said after taking part in our previous internship scheme
"This is the first time we have utilised a student in this way and it has been a positive experience and one we would do again. The graduate was very enthusiastic, well liked and fitted in to our organisation seamlessly"
“The graduate placement programme has been most beneficial to both our company and the graduate. For this reason I would endorse the programme to any business”
“This is the second time hosting a graduate on an internship and I have pro-actively recommended the scheme to fellow business owners as both our graduates have contributed enormously to the business and have been useful and welcome members of our team”
