For Employers

Recruiting the right people for any business is vital for its success and Keele University can help you do just that. We have access to hundreds of graduates who can bring fresh ideas to benefit your business.  An internship can be an excellent way for you to take on a graduate for a short period of time, either to help with a specific project, or to see if they would fit into your business in the longer term.

Funding Available for Employers (updated September 2013)

Through our partners, Santander Universities, and Graduate Advantage (ERDF) we are able to give you some funding towards the graduate's wages.  Check our FAQs and how to get involved, or contact us for more information.  Please note that funding is limited and will be allocated as fairly as possible.

 The Benefits to Employers

  • Free shortlisting of suitable graduate candidates, saving employers time and money, when compared to a commercial recruitment agency
  • A varied range of internship areas covered including marketing, web design and business development
  • Excellent customer service support from the Graduate Internships Team  to support employers at all stages of the process

What companies have said after taking part in our internship schemes

"This is the first time we have utilised a student in this way and it has been a positive experience and one we would do again.  The graduate was very enthusiastic, well liked and fitted in to our organisation seamlessly"

“The graduate placement programme has been most beneficial to both our company and the graduate.  For this reason I would endorse the programme to any business”

“This is the second time hosting a graduate on an internship and I have pro-actively recommended the scheme to fellow business owners as both our graduates have contributed enormously to the business and have been useful and welcome members of our team”

“We recognise the importance of supporting graduate employment programmes and are impressed with the high level of commitment and ability that we have seen from the candidates. The West Midlands scheme run by Keele University opens up opportunities to recent Graduates and we’d urge other local businesses to recognise the mutual benefits of supporting this talent pool”
