This was followed by International Women’s Day on 8th March where the HR team organised a bake sale and raised £120 for women’s charity EMBRACE and Breast Cancer Care. The award, gained at the first attempt, is recognition for the valued on-going support we give to our staff. Overall the aim is to have an extremely fit, happy and healthy workforce. A strategy is to be developed with the aim of achieving silver next year.   A Day in the Life of a Disability Adviser Posted on 12 September 2012 For those not aware, at present, we have a total of 189 students who have disclosed a disability on their application to Keele for the upcoming academic year and of this 189, 84 declared a Specific Learning Difficulty (SpLD). The total number of students currently studying at Keele who have a SpLD is 500. 03_KeelePG_0032-HR   Moving On Up Posted on 12 September 2012 This weekend Disability and Dyslexia Support, supported by staff across the University delivered a residential pre-arrival event for disabled students and their families. Occ Health logo   The Occupational Health Service welcomes a new member of staff Posted on 12 September 2012 Belinda Allen, Occupational Health Nurse Advisor, has joined the Occupational Health Service (OHS) within the Department of Occupational Health and Safety.
