1 October saw the official opening of the brand new £2.7M Nursery facility. Dr Maggie Atkinson, Children’s Commissioner for England was joined by around 50 guests including partners who had been instrumental in the delivery of the building, as well as parents, University colleagues and children.

The LPDC gained direct claim status from the Institute of Leadership and Management in July: a vote of confidence in our delivery, assessment and administration of the ILM programmes and awards we deliver to support leaders and managers across the University.

The Student journey is not always straightforward; students will from time to time deviate from their preferred path, intentionally or not. With many bumps, twists and turns in the road, students can at times lose pace, swerve out of control, question their navigation skills and/or need to ask for assistance.

A Day in the Life of a Disability Adviser

For those not aware, at present, we have a total of 189 students who have disclosed a disability on their application to Keele for the upcoming academic year and of this 189, 84 declared a Specific Learning Difficulty (SpLD). The total number of students currently studying at Keele who have a SpLD is 500.
Moving On Up

This weekend Disability and Dyslexia Support, supported by staff across the University delivered a residential pre-arrival event for disabled students and their families. The event was great success with students feeling confident about what awaits them when they return to campus to start their degree proper at the end of September.
