Training and Staff Development

Keele University is committed to ensuring that our staff have the necessary knowledge and skills around equality and diversity issues.  We have a number of training opportunities available throughout the year, depending on your location within the University.  If you are interested in finding out more please contact the Learning and Professional Development Centre in the first instance.

All new starters are required to attend the Keele Welcome Programme, in which a mandatory session on equality and diversity takes place. The session includes all of the protected characteristics, an introduction to some of the issues, unconscious bias, and the expectations placed on all staff in adhering to and promoting the Keele Dignity & Respect Framework.

In addition to learning opportunities through the Learning and Professional Development Centre, the University has developed a number of online courses, available to all staff through Keele Learning Pool. Courses can be browsed through the Equality and Diversity section of Keele Learning Pool.

Individually the following courses are available online:

Introduction to Equality and Diversity.
