Staff Performance Review and Enhancement (SPRE)
SPRE – Staff Review and Enhancement Scheme is the University's appraisal framework and is mandatory for all staff.
SPRE provides a framework for managers and their staff to work together in clarifying expectations, and support and development needs – eg, training, coaching, direction, problem resolution, reassurance etc.
The Scheme supports ongoing communication and dialogue between managers and their staff about everything relevant to the individual and his /her role – from local systems and processes to the organisation’s strategic plans and how their work supports these. Perhaps most crucially it provides a basis for recognition – for managers to feedback to staff the value of what they do and the contribution they make.
