IT Facilities

The IT Suite, adjacent to the Health Library, has facilities for both Keele and NHS users.

For Keele students and staff:

  • 60 workstations have been upgraded to Windows 7.0, MS Office 2010, Firefox / Internet Explorer 8;
  • Use your Keele card or NHS library card to pay for printing
  • Printing in black/white and colour

NHS staff may use Keele workstations on application to the Library counter.

For NHS staff:

  • 10 workstations; you must have a Trust login to use these PCs
  • software including Windows XP, Internet Explorer 7, MS Outlook, MS Office 2003
  • access to EPRs, CRIS, DATIX, etc
  • printing in black/white only

The Library also has desktop scanners for digitising images. Headphones can be borrowed on request.

Walk-in Access

NHS users can access the Keele University network by requesting a temporary login from the main counter. You must have your Library card with you. This login can only be used on the Keele networked computers in the IT suite at the Health Library.

You can then access Keele networked resources including databases and journals.
