Health Essentials Online
This is a 1.5 hour course, aimed at all Health Library users who wish to familiarise themselves with methods of finding web-based health information.
You will learn to:
- search for health information using reliable sources
- be aware of key sources that will provide specific types of information
- assess the quality and reliability of web sites
Course content
- Problems identifying health information on the Internet
- Key methods of finding health information
- Evaluating web sites
Prerequisites
- Some basic experience of using a mouse and keyboard
- Some prior experience of using the Internet
