Royal College of General Practitioners Commissioning Competency Framework
The Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) has published its Competencies for Clinically-led Commissioning.
The Health Library offers resources to support you in the RCGP Commissioning Competencies, and in Evidence based practice. Evidence based practice is particularly significant for Clinically led commissioning, one of the Framework’s 4 Principles, and for Competency 3, Delivering quality services and improving productivity. Through the Health Library and the Outreach Librarians you can:
- access books and journals to help develop your management and leadership skills (stock can be brought to your workplace)
- request a literature search: we save you time by searching specialist health databases and reputable websites to your deadline
- request training, tailored to your specific needs, to help you find relevant evidence more quickly and effectively
- keep up-to-date with new developments from the Department of Health, NICE and others, using our current awareness bulletins
