Research
The School of Health and Rehabilitation has a long established
research programme in physiotherapy related areas. Since 2004 the
research has been based in multidisciplinary Research institutes. The
School has close links with the Primary Care Science Research Institute
and the Institute for Science and Technology in Medicine, both based in
the Faculty of Health and also with the Institute for Life Course
Studies, based in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
The aims of the Research Institutes within the Health Faculty are:
- To provide a forum for high quality research at Keele and within the University’s partner NHS organisations in well focused themes to enable us to compete at national and international level.
- To ensure that Keele’s tradition and reputation for fostering multi-disciplinary research was continued and enhanced at the highest level.
The four Research Institutes that staff from our school contribute to are:
- The Research Institute for Science and Technology in Medicine
- The Research Institute for Primary Care and Health Sciences
- The Research Institute for Social Sciences
- The Research Institute for Public Policy and Managment
