West Midlands Rheumatology Forum
Last week Senior Lecturer, Anne O'Brien chaired a session at the West Midlands Rheumatology Forum in Birmingham. One hundred delegates came from around the region to attend the multi-disciplinary meeting entitled "Supporting Patients, helping with decisions and initiating change". Evidence-based presentations focused upon rehabilitation approaches to self-manage pain, the impact of a diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) on family, Adherence to medication among patients with RA and "top tips" for health professionals on educating patients to change behaviours.
