First place for Student
Catherine Dulla
despite it being the first competition of its kind for her, she took first place
Catherine Dulla a 2nd year Physiotherapy student has shown that she can put her theoretical training into practice, especially with regard to Health and Wellbeing.
Catherine took part in the Ashbourne Duathlon in April this year and despite it being the first competition of its kind for her, she took first place.
The first running section was a tough hilly route but Catherine excelled in this. The cycling section was no less tough starting with a steep hill climb followed by some hair raising downhill descents. Entering the final running section Catherine was in second place but overtook to take first place ahead of her nearest competitor by just a few seconds. Catherine hopes to improve on her performance by overcoming her fear of steep downhill descents. Once she has achieved this she wil be a force to be reckoned with.
The School of Health and Rehabilitation congratulate Catherine and acknowledge the dedication required to achieve such an excellent performance.
