Main aims:

  • What is the importance of falls on the individual & the healthcare system?
  • Who is most at risk from falling & how can we minimise risk?
  • What is falls prevention; the evidence
  • Management strategies for the elderly patient who frequently falls

Physiotherapy & other therapy assistants/technical instructors/assistant practitioners are welcome to join the 1st year physiotherapy students in this teaching session introducing falls prevention and management strategies in a theory session and follow up problem solving workshop/practical session. This session will be held in the School of Health and Rehabilitation at Keele University.

  • 11:00-12:30 Practical session / Workshop
