Main aims:

  • Learn about early discharge schemes and ‘hospital at home’ for patients with COPD and other respiratory disorders
  • Have a go at decision making…would you manage this patient at home?

Come and join final year physiotherapy students for a one and a half hour lecture about the management of chronic respiratory disease in primary care then small group work related to decision making in the domiciliary environment for a patient with an acute exacerbation of COPD. The session is ideal for physiotherapists working in the community who are new to, or inexperienced in, the management of patients with COPD in the home.
