Standing / Weight Transfer / Stepping
22 February 2013 11:00-12:30 or 13:30-15:00 or 15:30-17:00 MacKay Building, School of Health and Rehabilitation, Keele University
Main aims:
- To be able to demonstrate how to facilitate sitting to standing giving appropriate support, as indicated by the various case scenarios (to be supplied to attendees)
- Demonstrate how to facilitate appropriate weight transference (related to case scenarios)
- Demonstrate how to facilitate one step
Physiotherapy & other therapy assistants/technical instructors/assistant practitioners who are interested in learning and understanding some of the theory behind many of the practices they regularly undertake (in relation to standing and stepping) are welcome to join the 1st year physiotherapy students for this interactive practical session. These sessions will be held in the School of Health and Rehabilitation at Keele University.
