21 February 2013 13:30-15:00 15:00-17:00 MacKay Building, School of Health and Rehabilitation, Keele University
Main aims:
- An opportunity to get involved in ‘problem solving’ using a ‘paper patient’ – identify the problems and plan the physiotherapeutic intervention.
- Practice skills such as the ABCT, manual techniques, manually assisted coughing and use of the Lung Volume Recruitment (LVR) Bag.
This CPD opportunity is linked to the teaching and learning activity on the morning of Thursday 21st February and that on Wednesday 20th February.
Come and join final year physiotherapy students for small group work and practical activity related to the management of a ‘paper patient’ illustrating the problems faced by patients with respiratory complications of neuromuscular disease. Practice clinical skills including an introduction to the LVR Bag (practical kit required).
