Introduction to the respiratory complications of neuromuscular diseases and associated work package

- An overview of neuromuscular diseases and associated respiratory complications
- A tailored work package including a case scenario and specific reading material
This CPD opportunity is optionally linked to the teaching and learning activity on Thursday 21st February 2013 (Full or Half Day)
Come and join final year physiotherapy students for an overview of neuromuscular disorders with specific reference to the respiratory complications of neuromuscular disease. Access work package materials which introduce a ‘paper patient’ illustrating the problems faced by patients and associated reading material including some journal articles which provide both background information and descriptions of strategies for assessment and physiotherapeutic intervention. The session is ideal for physiotherapists who wish to raise their awareness of the respiratory complications associated with neuromuscular disorders. This session will be held in the School of Health and Rehabilitation at Keele University.
