Motor Learning & Movement Analysis
23 January 2013 09:00-10:00 10:30-12:30 MacKay Building, School of Health and Rehabilitation
Physiotherapy & other therapy assistants/technical instructors/assistant practitioners are welcome to join the 1st year physiotherapy students in these introductory sessions relating to movement analysis and how we learn/relearn to move.
Key areas:
- To explain what we mean by motor learning, consider key factors affecting motor learning & apply this knowledge to patient rehabilitation
- To explain the concepts of centre of gravity, line of gravity, base of support, key points of control & stability
- To analyse the relationship of the above to movement
This will be held on Wednesday 23rd January 2013
- 09:00-10:00 On-Line Lecture viewed in the School
- 10:30-12:30 Practical session exploring movement analysis
Cost: £50.00 (lecture only £20.00 - practical only £30.00)
This session will be held in the School of Health and Rehabilitation at Keele University.
