Motor Learning & Movement Analysis

Physiotherapy & other therapy assistants/technical instructors/assistant practitioners are welcome to join the 1st year physiotherapy students in these introductory sessions relating to movement analysis and how we learn/relearn to move.

Key areas:

  • To explain what we mean by motor learning, consider key factors affecting motor learning & apply this knowledge to patient rehabilitation
  • To explain the concepts of centre of gravity, line of gravity, base of support, key points of control & stability
  • To analyse the relationship of the above to movement

This will be held on Wednesday 23rd January 2013

  • 09:00-10:00 On-Line Lecture viewed in the School
  • 10:30-12:30 Practical session exploring movement analysis

Cost: £50.00 (lecture only £20.00 - practical only £30.00)

This session will be held in the School of Health and Rehabilitation at Keele University.
