To enable health professionals to take a strateic and critical view of IT development and implementation in their work environments and to develop appropriate high level IT skills in support of this.

The module is open to practicing health professionals with a first degree or equivalent currently engaged in clinical practice.

Lectures, small group discussion and IT skills laboratory sessions, using a variety of tasks, tools and methods, with tutors and teaching assistants to provide personal support.  Portfolio tasks to be completed during and after the course.

Session dates

15-17 January 2013 and 27-28 February 2013

 

Assessment

The principal assessments will be an IT portfolio, assessment weighting 50% and written assignment, assessment weighting 50%.
