This module is designed to help develop an understanding around current ethical and legal issues in healthcare. 

To provide students with an overview of current ethical and legal issues in healthcare and help them gain a working knowledge of the field.  To equip students with skills and knowledge necessary to respond constructively to ethico-legal problems that arise in healthcare practice.

This module is open to practising health professionals with a first degree or equivalent.

This module is designed to help develop an understanding around current ethical and legal issues in healthcare.  It will include introductions to ethical theory and cover key areas such as reproductive ethics, ethics at the end of life, share decision-making, perceptions of risk, resource allocation, legal standards and questions of public policy.
