Community Groups
At Keele University we have links to groups of individuals in communities working together on a wide range of interesting and important issues around sustainability, from peer to peer parent support groups to organic gardening groups. We often find that the collective expertise that exists in these groups is vast and the motivation to make a difference is inspirational.
We believe that interaction with community groups is not only a great way to get to grips with what is going on locally, but is also a route to exchanging knowledge, especially if that exchange is two-way; an example of this is our Grey Matters project.
The Grey Matters Project is an inter-generational community project linking students and staff with local mature people over the themes of gardening, science and sustainable living, through events, talks and activities. Find out more.
