GRADUATION CEREMONIES AT KEELE UNIVERSITY.....

Our Winter Ceremonies are being held on Thursday 8th December 2011

These webpages have been designed to provide you with all the information you require to plan your graduation day.  From here, please download YOUR GRADUATION GUIDE - DECEMBER 2011 - you are advised to print a copy of this document for your reference, ensure that you read it thoroughly as it should answer all of your questions.  Also, familarise yourself with the menu links on this page, these links will redirect you to webpages so that you can order your graduation robes, DVD copies and to pre-book afternoon tea in the grand historic Keele Hall etc.

N.B:  These pages may be updated from time to time, please visit this site regularly for any updates.
Please also note: All invitations to ceremonies have now been sent out. If you have not received yours, and you feel you are eligible to attend, please send an email to gradoffice@uso.keele.ac.uk or telephone 01782 734206 urgently.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO NOW:

  • ACCESS YOUR eVISION ACCOUNT AND CHECK THAT THE EMAIL ADDRESS WE HAVE STORED FOR YOU IS CORRECT. You should check this information so that any updates are included in good time.  If you need to, make changes to your email contact to ensure you receive this initial notification.  (Please note: eVision loggon enquiries should be directed to the IT Help Desk on tel: (01782) 733838).YOUR GRADUATION GUIDE IMAGE  
  • DOWNLOAD AND PRINT A COPY OF YOUR GRADUATION GUIDE - DECEMBER 2011  AND READ IT THOROUGHLY.   This guide is designed to answer any general questions and help you to plan and make necessary arrangements, so that your day runs as smoothly as possible.  If, after reading the guide you continue to have questions, please contact the Graduation Office on the email or telephone number below.

HOW & WHEN YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED and WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED OF YOUR CEREMONY DATE AND TIME BY EMAIL (*e-invite).
  • LOOK OUT FOR YOUR CEREMONY E-INVITE.  WHEN YOU RECEIVE THIS YOU WILL HAVE UNTIL 18th NOVEMBER 2011 TO REGISTER (*if you have not received your email notification by mid November, please contact the Graduation Office urgently by sending an email to gradoffice@uso.keele.ac.uk or by telephone on (01782) 734206/734169). 

IS REGISTRATION DIFFICULT?

No, when you receive your e-invite you will be instructed to access your eVision account.  It’s really easy - once you are logged on successfully, you will be guided through the online registration process.  We are here to help, so don’t hesitate to contact the Graduation Office for guidance.

WHAT IF I DON’T WANT TO ATTEND MY CEREMONY IN PERSON, DO I STILL NEED TO REGISTER?

YES, ALL INVITED STUDENTS MUST REGISTER THEIR ATTENDANCE, WHETHER ATTENDING THE CEREMONY OR NOT, BY NO LATER THAN FRIDAY 18TH NOVEMBER 2011.  You can choose from three options: 1) to be awarded ‘in person’, 2) to be awarded ‘in absentia’, or 3) to be re-invited to a ‘future’ set of ceremonies.  If you ignore the registration process and do not reply with one of these choices by 18th November, your ceremony status will automatically default to award you ‘in absentia’ and you will subsequently be unable to request to attend a future congregation for this award.

Please note:

*Your ceremony date and time is not transferrable or negotiable. 

**Due to planning processes and timescales, you are asked not to contact the Graduation Office prior to the beginning of November, requesting individual ceremony dates and times, as they will be unable to provide this information.  Any general questions that you may have should be covered in the Graduation Guide, which is available to download and print from this page, you may also find these answers to some Frequently Asked Questions useful.

ADVANCE NOTICE OF SUMMER GRADUATION on 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th July 2012

The University will be holding graduation ceremonies over four days, on the above dates.  Graduands will be notified of a specific date and time at the beginning of May 2012, when a Timetable of Ceremonies will be available to view from this webpage.  If you are expecting to graduate in July 2012, you will be notified by email (*e-invite).  It is important to note that the Graduation Office will not be posting any information out to students, all communication will be by email.  Please read the information provided on this website and in the Gradauation Guide and ensure that your student record has a personal email contact stored so that we can contact you.
