When will my research degree be awarded?

If you lodge your thesis with the library by the required date, usually at least 2 weeks before the Senate meeting date, then you can be recommended to Senate for your award.

When Senate agree to the award, you will be able to begin using the appropriate title e.g. "Dr".

Your degree certificate and transcript will be issued by Records & Exams.  This will take up to 8 weeks, especially if you are beng processed at the June Senate along with the majority of undergraduate students.
