Dr Jamie Pringle awarded the William Smith Fund for 2012

Dr Jamie Pringle, Lecturer in the School of Physical Sciences & Geography, has been awarded the William Smith Fund for 2012 from the Geological Society of London (founded in 1807). 

This is an award recognising excellence in published contributions to applied and economic aspects of Geology within ten years commencement of the recipients career (see more). The award will be presented in a ceremony in June 2012. Co-incidentally the award is named after the same man as the Keele building housing Geography, Geology and the Environment personnel.
