Robinson_Zoe  Four BSc in Environment and Sustainability students are set to turn a Barnes bungalow into a showcase for greener, cheaper campus living.

The project, which will involve energy reduction measures and a vegetable garden, will be monitored for a year and results will be disseminated widely at Keele and nationally.

Dr Zoe Robinson (pictured) and Dr Sherilyn MacGregor (School of Politics, International Relations and Philosophy/ Research Institute for Social Sciences),  have been awarded £10,000 from the Higher Education Academy Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences subject centre for the project, which is entitled '"Living what we're learning".

It aims to evaluate the impact on the University community of a sustainable student house.  The four students will be working under their supervision
