I have always been interested in computers and numbers, specifically the application of maths to “real-life”. I completed a degree in Computational Mathematics at Leicester in 2005.
I became a Research Associate at Keele in 2012, after completing my PhD, also at Keele, which involved investigating the vibrations generated by small wind turbines using both computer simulation and seismic monitoring.
Prior to Keele, after completing my BSc, I obtained a master’s degree in Informatics (specialising in robotics) from Edinburgh University followed by a stint in Industry as Research Scientist for a company designing unmanned aerial vehicles.
